A story in Medill Reports paints a grim picture for Asian Americans. Wow, did you know that half of those with Hep B in the United States are Asian Americans? I knew it was high, but man, that’s high. I double checked it and a report from the Office of Minority Health said the same thing. Now in Illinois there’s a new push for health advocacy in the Asian American community in response to this high rate. Let’s hope we reverse this trend soon.
