Myrna Alforque Fontillas may not be a household name, but in Las Vegas, she’s the Wayne Newton of Filipino American culture. The Asian Journal reports that Fontillas has been honored with an Outstanding Woman of Style award. She co-founded the Filipiniana Dance Troupe of Las Vegas as well as the Filipiniana Cultural & Arts Foundation and KALAHI Philippine Folkloric Ensemble.
