Knock Out By The Filipino Flash Takes Some of Sting Out of Manny Pacquiao Loss

Boxing GloveNonito Donaire successfully defended his super bantamweight title Saturday night by knocking out Jorge Arce in the third round. Donaire who is known as the Filipino Flash told USA Today.  he was thinking about last week’s defeat of Manny Pacquiao the whole time.

“There were a lot of fans that said, you got to get him, this is for the Philippines,” Donaire (31-1, 20 KOs) said. “But I love Mexico as well. Mexican fighters are tough and I have the best respect for all of them. I’m hoping (the Filipinos) can be proud of what I’ve done tonight.”

Nonito Donaire has been talked about as the possible successor to Manny Pacquiao. Does Nonito have what it takes to replace PacMan?
