David Lim is now the first Asian American mayor in San Mateo, a community just south of San Francisco. In 10 years he’s risen from the Human Relations Commission to City Council and now mayor, reports the Daily Journal. Many predict he will move on to state wide politics as he has close ties to several California legislators.
Lim is a passionate public servant who currently specializes in real estate fraud as a prosecutor with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in California’s Silicon Valley. He has twin girls and a new baby boy.
