It started as a simple tweet, a way to honor the children who died in the Newtown shootings. But the Huff Post reports its turned into much more than that. A national campaign has been launched on Twitter. #20Acts for people who wished to commit to 20 act of kindness for the 20 children killed in Newtown. It quickly grew and the hashtag #26Acts of Kindness for all 26 victims of Friday’s tragedy. #26 acts then became #27acts for the mother of the shooter who was also killed.
One women said she would make a donation to help a 6- year-old Indonesian girl get her heart surgery. Another simply bought a cup of coffee for the man standing behind her at Starbucks. Others sent donations to local food banks & charities.
