Golden Gate Express: Filipino American Students Get in Touch With Their Roots at SF State

 

San Francisco State University LogoSF State University has been at the forefront of the ethnic studies & civil rights movement and Filipino Americans have been a big part of that. Events like the Parol Festival Parade are spawning a new generation of Filipino American leaders.

The Golden Gate Express talked to two of them, Eric Pido, assistant professor of Asian American studies at SF State, and League of Filipino Students (LFS) – SFSU member, Maricon Malimban, about organizing the Filipino American community today in this video.
