South China Morning Post: Three #Chinese Americans on Quest to Solve Traffic Congestion & Air Pollution in Beijing

China TrafficIf you’ve ever been to China or seen pictures, you know how bad the traffic and pollution is in that country. Three Chinese Americans are in Beijing to help change that. They’re there to set up a carpooling service to reduce congestion and smog at the same time. Their service Wodache, literally “I Get A Ride” matches riders with drivers on both the web and an iPhone application, reported the South China Morning Post

The service is free.

“As an Internet company creating an actual community or a network is more valuable. For us especially at this stage we want to solve our customers’ problem first, ” said Eric Wang of Wodache.  “Once a large community is created, I am sure that there will be other ways that we can make a profit. Facebook is also free for users.”
