Seattle Times: Japanese Am Who Lost Family in Bombing of Hiroshima Wants Making of Bomb Commemorated

Hiroshima
The only building left standing after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima

Clarence Moriwaki’s grandfather died when the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Six of his aunts and uncles were also killed. So why does he want a national historic park designated to remember the making of the atomic bomb?

Moriwaki who is Japanese American and active in that community believes even the most painful moments in our history should not be forgotten.  He makes his argument in an op-ed in the Seattle Times.

What do you think? Should a National Historic Park be designated to remember the making of the atomic bomb?
