WUSA: Washington D.C. Chinatown Restaurant Forced to Close by Health Department

restaurantA Chinatown restaurant in the nation’s capital was one of at least three restaurants forced to close last month by the Fairfax County Health Department, reports WUSA.  New Big Wong on H St NW was cited for mice droppings, contamination control & food at unsafe temperatures.  The restaurant declined to comment. Inspectors also shut down Llataymanta Restaurant on Arlington Blvd in Falls Church. The license was suspended after finding violations for hand washing, dirty slicers, mixers, cutting boards , and unclean ice and not having the required trained personnel in food handling on the premises. Inspectors also closed Pruitt Seafood for the second time in two years. Health records show 5 citations issued in December and 32 two years ago. All the businesses have since reopened after passing reinspection.
