Jason Wu made famous by First Lady Michelle Obama this week unveiled a new collection for Nordstroms, reports NBC Chicago. “I felt that there was a place in the ever-growing designer contemporary market for these feminine and sophisticated pieces,” Jason Wu said in a statement. His collection which will include seasonal handbags, shoes and clothing is said to have a relaxed downtown attitude. Wu first gained fame when the First Lady wore one of his pieces to her husband’s first Inaugural Ball. I feel really fortunate… it’s really the ultimate compliment to have the First Lady wear my clothes, I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Wu said. “ His collection will sell for between $195 to $795.
