A study by U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Catholic University Medical Center found Korean Americans are the heaviest binge drinkers among all Asian American groups, reports KoreAm. Nearly 1 out of 4 Korean Americans say they drink more than five glasses of alcohol in one sitting. That’s two to three times more than other Asian Americans. Korean women also drink more than women in other Asian American groups. The blog YOMYOMF had fun of the study, comparing the findings to discovering that baby pandas are real cute. It questioned whether the study was a waste of tax payers money.
