Bleacher Report: @Jlin7 Former Coach Says Lin Needs to Improve His Shooting

basketballFormer New York Knick coach  Mike D’Antoni still takes pride in his former players. He gushed about Jeremy Lin while coaching him in New York.  He says Lin dominated the League during that brief stretch of Linsanity.

“You don’t do that unless you’re a good player,” D’Antoni said about last season’s hot streak. “To be a great player, he has to improve his shot.”

Lin is shooting below 30 percent from the three point line in his brief career. Blogger Kevin Ding wrote in the Bleacher Report that once Lin improves his shot, he’ll create more spacing between himself and the defender, opening up an area where he can make a aggressive straight line shot for the basket.

Both Houston Rocket Coach Kevin McHale and fellow back court mate James Harden have called on Lin to be more aggressive. That aggressiveness will become a lot easier once Lin gets his shots down.
