HealthHoly Redeemer Chinese Catholic Church in Philadelphia was packed with uninsured patients seeking health care last night, reports  CBS Philly

Doctors and nurses from Drexel and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital joined forces to provide free medical services including flu shots and other services.  The clinic takes places every Wednesday night at 5:30 for the under served.

“The clinic’s mission is to try to help as many people as we can,” says Dr. Wayne Bond Lau. “We see anywhere from 35 to 45 people in the span of about four hours. We take a lot of walk-in patients and they can everything from heart attacks to strokes.”

The clinic was started 12 years ago to serve those facing language and cultural barriers which makes accessing health services difficult.
