The starting line up as chosen by fan balloting has been announced for the upcoming NBA All Star game. ESPN reports that the Western Conference All Star starting line up will be Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul at the guard spots, and Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin at the forward spots. That means the only chance for Jeremy Lin to make the All Star game in his home team town of Houston if he is named a reserve. The reserves will be announced next. It also means four of the starters for the West will come from the two LA teams, the Lakers and Clippers.
Bryant edged out Lebron James for most votes by just 7,800. Other starters for the East will be Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondon & Kevin Garnett.
