It’s the toughest ticket to get in Washington, D.C.–the official invite to the Presidential Inaugural Ball. But Times of India
reports that several prominent Indian Americans made the list. Among the invitees was Tobby Chaudhuri, a White House advisor and a veteran political strategist.
“The Indian American political tiger has arrived,” he said. “The challenge is to sustain this momentum.”
Indian American chef, K N Vinod, who has visited the White House kitchen several times attended his first inaugural ball.
“In the last four years the economy has been a very tough one for the small businesses ? one step forward and one step backward,” said Vinod. He chose to wear a Nehruvian jacket to the ball and his wife wore an orange savi. He posted video of himself at the ball on his own website.
