Bay Area students are being urged to submit art work, poems, and essays to the Growing Up Asian in America contest sponsored by the Asian Pacific Fund. $20,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded.
Winning entries will be displayed in libraries, museums and city halls throughout the Bay Area. Winning essays may be featured on public radio. This is the 18th year of the contest. The Asian Pacific Fund is one of the few foundations dedicated to funding projects in the Asian American community. More details can be found in Asian Week
