Press TV: WalMart to Open in LA’s Chinatown Despite Protests

 

Shopping for clothesA new Walmart is set to open in Los Angeles’ historic Chinatown later this year, but labor groups are vowing to stop the store from opening despite repeated setbacks, reports Press TV.

The labor groups are supporting a lawsuit which accuses the giant retailer of wage theft from its warehouse workers, but Walmart says those workers are employed by a third party contractor and not WalMart.

A new ordinance passed after Walmart was approved bans big box stores.
