Salt Lake City Trib: @Jlin7 Beats Odds Staying On Basketball Court & Getting to Sundance

SundanceJeremy Lin has made it a habit beating the odds. He came so close to ending his basketball career before circumstances gave him one last shot just days before the New York  Knicks would have probably cut him.

Then last night a snow storm grounded him in Grand Junction, Colo as he was trying to make his way to closing night at Sundance for the screening of the new documentary, Linsanity.

He walked in during the final minutes of the screening, in time to take questions from the audience, reports the Salt Lake City Tribune.

“If you’ve seen the film, you know nothing is going to stop Jeremy Lin — even a snowstorm,” said director Evan Jackson Leong.

Lin let on that the biggest purchase in his NBA career so far has to do with his sleep. Remember this is a guy that was couch surfing, so having a bed is a big deal.

“My biggest purchase was my mattress,” Lin said. “I don’t really have too many nice things. I pretty much dress the same and live the same.

Above all, he says his faith has kept him humble.
