Bay City News via KGO: Parking Fees Reduced in Oakland’s Chinatown

Chinatown OaklandThe city of Oakland has announced its reducing the cost to park in Oakland’s Chinatown in an effort to attract more business, reports Bay City News.

The reduction will come in time for Lunar New Year which starts February 10th. The city’s Renaissance Plaza parking garage will charge $2 an hour from 5-11 pm Monday through Thursday and also on Friday until 12 a.m. The reduced rates will not apply on weekends.

The new rates will be effective until further notice.
