It was quite a night at the Grammy Awards for the Indian American community with several coming home with music’s most coveted prize.
Jeff Bhasker took home the Grammy for song of the year for “We Are Young” by the group Fun. Bhasker is considered one of the hottest hip hop and pop producers around right now. Major artist such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Bruno Mars line up to work with Bhasker.
The late legendary Ravi Shankar was not forgotten either. His daughter Anoushka Shankar accepted the award on behalf of her father for best world music album for “The Living Room Sessions Part I.” Shankar was also awarded the lifetime achievement award.
