A rookie got in the way of the much anticipated match up of the battle of the Texans between Frenchman Tony Parker and Asian American Jeremy Lin in Houston tonight at the NBA All Star skills challenge. Portland Trailblazer Damian Lillard bested both Lin and Parker to advance to the finals and win the competition, reports the Inquirer.
Lillard navigated the obstacle course in 28.8 seconds, beating Lin’s 35.8 and Parker’s disappointing 48.7. Parker failed miserably in his attempt to join Dwyane Wade and Steve Nash as multiple winners of the event.
Lillard went on to the finals against Eastern Conference winner Philadelphia’s Jrue Holiday. Lillard came out on top 29.8 to 35.6.
