Si.Com: Report That @HoustonRockets Could Trade @JeremyLin

LinsanityFor the second time this year, there are reports the Houston Rockets are looking to trade Jeremy Lin

According to SI.com, this time the report comes from Sam Smith of Bulls.com.  Smith reports the Rockets are letting teams know that both Lin and center Omer Asik  would be available before the start of next season. The thinking goes that Rocket GM Daryl Morey is looking to upgrade with players to build around James Harden. One name often mentioned is Dwight Howard who will be a free agent after the season.

Both Lin, who is seen here from a scene in the documentary Linsanity, and Harden are most effective with the ball, but as long as Harden is on the court, some believe Lin will never live up to his potential.

Back in January, Bleacher.com reported Lin could possibly be traded after Houston Coach Kevin McHale benched Lin during a terrible stretch for the Rocket point guard. That didn’t happen and this trade may not happen either.

  1. from Don Huey via Facebook on Jeremy Lin trade rumors: When the Warriors move to S.F. that would be ideal to sign Jeremy Lin. Attendance would go thru the roof with the Bay Area's huge Asian population.

  2. From Davin Foodie Lo via Facebook on Jeremy Lin Trade rumors: Coaches are not seeing the potential in him, Warriors, NY, Houston…. something is up….. he's not doing something right…..

  3. from Robt Lowe via Facebook on Jeremy Lin Trade rumors: We see flashes of what he does & potential is just potential. There are many players with potential, but can they play in the NBA level or the right system? Lin's problem is TURNOVERS!

  4. From Robt Lowe via Facebook on Jeremy Lin Trade rumors: It took Gary Payton about his 3rd year to really adjust to the NBA. Hopefully, Lin can get better & adjust or he's finished. He will play professionally, whether it's in the NBA, Europe or Asia.
