LinsanityJeremy Lin wanted nothing to do with Linsanity, remembers his cousin, Alan Lu.  Producers Christopher Chen and Brian Yang along with director Evan Jackson Leong had been hounding the Harvard point guard for years into letting them shoot his  story.

“He said, ‘These people have been bugging me for years now, and we don’t know what to do with them,’ ” says Lu, a Mountain View resident. “He was like ‘Hey, do you want to help me?’  he told the  Mercury News.

So Lu met with the film making team and left impressed.

“I went back (to Lin) and said, ‘You can’t replace the moments we have now,’ ” Lu says. ‘Why not just flip on the cameras and see what happens?’ Jeremy didn’t care. So he said, ‘We’ll turn on the cameras and see what happens.’ ”

You can read more about what happens next (be sure to read down to the end of the article) along with other highlights at this year’s CAAMFest 2013 in San Francisco, in the Mercury News.
