It’s time to take the shackles off Jeremy Lin. The Houston Rockets are a young team that seems reluctant to put the ball in Lin’s hands, according to Chris Baldwin in his blog for Culture Map,
After the Rockets 30 point loss to the Golden State Warriors Sunday evening, Comcast Sportsnet Analyst Calvin Murphy put it this way:
“Jeremy Lin was shooting the ball well,” Murphy said on air. “He should have gotten more shots.”
The way Baldwin sees it, the Rockets seem content to treat Lin like a novelty act with Tebow-like disdain.
Writes Baldwin, “It all goes back to the Rockets perplexing reluctance to treat Jeremy Lin like a bona fide, budding potential point guard star.”
