The gamble the Houston Rockets took in signing Jeremy Lin is paying off. They basically handed a $25 million contract to a young point guard based on a body of work consisting of 25 games.
But an analyses by the Bleacher Report shows the Rockets are poised to make the playoffs this season for the first time since the 2008-2009 season. They have also built a solid foundation for the future with James Harden and Lin in the back court.
For the month of March Lin is averaging almost 17 points a game on 53 percent shooting. That’s enough to increase his scoring average for the season to over 13 points a game. Lin leads a team tied for the lead in the NBA with the most points scored per game at more than 106.
