The East West Players of Los Angeles will honor Steven Yeun , the star of Walking Dead, at its annual Visionary Awards Dinner & Silent Auction on April 22, reports Broadway World.
Also to receive special recognition will be Cold Tofu, the Asian American Comedy Improv Group.
Yeun stars in the AMC series, the Walking Dead, which has become the most watched drama series in basic cable history. He plays Glenn, the pizza boy turned walker killer and has become a fan favorite in the popular show. Yeun will receive the Breakout Performance Award.
Cold Tofu will be honored with the Visionary Award. The group was founded in 1981 and is known for its unforgettable characters, improvised scenes and original sketch materials
The East West Players are now in their 47th season.
“EWP and the APA performing arts community continue to expand the spectrum of voices and stories of our vast, complex yet underrepresented community,” says Tim Dang, Producing Artistic Director of East West Players.
