17-year old Shubha Vedula has a lot going for her. Not only will she be graduating as valedectorian of her high school, but the aspiring singer is the first Indian American ever to make it to the top 20 of American Idol, reports Indian Express
Although she did not survive to make it into the top 10, the judge’s were generous in their praise.
“American Idol has opened a lot of doors for me. But I have worked very hard in studies. I am ready to go to college, but I also know that my passion lies in singing, so I am actually trying to decide which way I would be going. But it seems I am going towards singing,” Shubha said.
She said she would jump at the opportunity of going to Bollywood if the opportunity came.
