A new poll out shows the approval rating of Louisiana Governor and presidential hopeful Bobby Jindal has dropped to a low of 38 percent, reports the Economic Times. That’s a dramatic drop from the 51 percent approval he enjoyed in October.
The poll was conducted by Southern Media and Opinion Research. Pollsters say state cuts to health care and higher education along with his proposed state tax reforms have contributed to his declining popularity.
“We care more about the unemployment numbers than approval numbers, and right now, we still have too many Louisianans unemployed and underemployed,” Jindal’s spokesman Kyle Plotkin, said to the Economic Times.
