Jeremy Lin is poised to lead the Rockets in the playoffs, reports the Bleacher Report. They currently hold the 7th seed in the Western conference Playoffs one game behind the Golden State Warriors who won tonight 111-107 over the Phoenix Suns.
The Rockets defeated the Portland Trailblazers tonight without their second leading scorer, Chandler Parsons. Lin stepped up scoring 22 points and 8 assists in the Rockets 116-98 victory.
Lin also picked up the slack during James Harden recent two game absence. The Rockets won both games without Harden and with Lin leading the way. Lin has been only averaging 13 points a game, but he doesn’t have to score a lot with Harden and Chandler in the line up. The Rockets average 106 points a game, tops in the NBA
His role is to facilitate the offense. So far its working. The Rockets are now ten games over .500.
