A Colorful Musical Journey, An Asian American Dream Musical Concert presented by musician Austin Huang, is expected to greet the audience at Benaroya Hall on April 21 in Seattle, according to Northwest Asian Weekly. The concert blends Chinese music with Western orchestral music.
Huang, who became an American citizen in the 1990s, has been dedicated to preserve his Chinese heritage through music. He never studied music back in China. Instead hestudied under American composer Roger Briggs in the United States and blended in his cultural influence from China.
The concert will showcase traditional Chinese instruments such as Pipa and Guzheng as well as Western orchestra.
