Fast & Furious director Justin Lin will receive Cinecon’s Director of the Year award next week, reports Screen Daily.
Lin’s latest project is Fast & Furious 6 which comes out May 24 and will be the last in the series to be directed by Lin.
The next film on the horizon for Lin will be LA Riots which is about the Rodney King verdict and a movie about a special operative called the Breach.
“When Justin Lin calls for action on the set, you don’t just get action, you get ACTION, clearly evidenced by the three blockbuster Fast & Furious films already under his belt,” said convention managing Cinecon director Mitch Neuhauser.
