Farah Khan is a self described Southern Belle from Alabama and a South Asian American woman. Single and stranded in Delhi or India with no money to get back to her guest house, she asked a convenience store clerk if he knew of a cab company that would accept a credit card.

All eyes gazed upon her and her vulnerabilities were suddenly exposed. After all, this was where the brutal gang rape of a young woman on a bus took place.

Farah was deeply aware of this incident and has been very vocal speaking out about the circumstances that allowed such a brutal crime to take place. Some AsAmNews readers may remember Farah’s blog, A South Asian American Woman’s Plea for Change.

What happened next to Farah in India that day surprised her and may put a smile on your face. You can read about it in Aerogram.
