Senate Republican leadership has drawn criticism of delaying the confirmation of numerous judges appointed by President Obama, including Srinivasan.
But at yesterday’s 90 minute confirmation hearing, Republicans were full of praise of Srinivasan’s qualifications. The attorney has already been mentioned as a possible US Supreme Court nominee in the near future.
According to the Daily News. Republican Senator Orin Hatch is poised to vote for confirmation. I think you’re going to make a great Circuit Court of Appeals judge,” according to Huffington Post.
Another conservative republican and Tea Party member Senator Ted Cruz echoed those remarks.
