Muslim American groups prayed for the victims in the Boston Marathon bombing tonight and condemned those behind the attacks, reports IBN Live
The Council of American-Islamic Relations urged its members to alert authorities to any information they might have about the bombings.
CAIR called it unfortunate that some immediately look to the Muslim community for suspects when something like this happens.
“American Muslims, like Americans of all backgrounds, condemn in the strongest possible terms today’s cowardly bomb attack on participants and spectators of the Boston Marathon,” said its national executive director Nihad Awad.
The Muslim Public Affairs Council echoed those sentiments.

“This is a horrible crime, and we call on all of us as Americans to work together to bring those responsible to justice,” it said in a statement.
