A Korean American woman has sued CVS Pharmacy alleging an employee of the pharmacy used a racial slur to describe her on a receipt, reported CBS NY.
“Honestly I’m just horrified about this whole thing,” Hyun Lee told reporters. “It just brought back all the memories of growing up as a minority.”
Lee’s attorney Susan Chana Lask said Lee used her real name when ordering photos on line, but when she picked up the pictures noticed her name was listed as “ching chong Lee.”
Lee says CVS has told her the offending employee would be counseled and trained.
