CATEGORIES

Sunil TripathiThe family of Sunil Tripathi expressed relief that their son who has been missing for more than a month is not the Boston Marathon bomber, reports NDTV.

Trending reports on social media began to circulate early Friday morning that pictures of Tripathi resembled those of one of the suspects. It wasn’t until the FBI named their suspects that the reports were proved inaccurate.

The family issued a statement on their Facebook page:

“We have known unequivocally all along that neither individual suspected as responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings was Sunil.

“We thank all of you who have reached out to our family and ask that you continue to raise awareness and to help us find our gentle, loving, and thoughtful Sunil.”
