LinsanityHouston Rocket starting point guard Jeremy Lin will be a game time decision in game 5 of the playoffs between the Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night.

Lin sat out game 4 with a chest contusion and only played half of game 2 and 3 due to the same injury.

“It’s getting better slowly. Right now, I’m trying to keep everything left-handed,” he told the Ultimate Rocket. “I wasn’t that close last night. I kind of knew when I woke up unless it felt drastically better I probably wouldn’t be able to (play.) Today definitely felt better. It’s one of those things you have to wait out. Injury is probably as frustrating as it gets and it being the second year in a row (he was hurt) in the playoffs) doesn’t help.”

The Latinos Post says Lin’s injury was aggravated when Kevin Durant gave him a hard shot to the chest as he was trying to call a time out. Durant may have been trying to exact revenge for a similar play by Patrick Beverley on Russell Westbrook that knocked him out of the series.

You can see video of Durant’s play in the Latinos Post.

Lin has played well below of expectations during the playoffs partly due to his injury. Despite that, the Latinos Post says he has also showed glimpses of great promises by playing through the pain. He also had a excellent of the regular season averaging 17 points a game.
