Bleacher Report: Are @HoustonRockets Better Without @Jlin7?

CATEGORIES

LinsanityJeremy Lin told the New York Post that he could have played Game 4 and five of the playoffs against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the Houston Rockets wouldn’t let him.

The point guard suffered a chest contusion in game 2 and only played the first half of game 3 before being taken off the court. After being down 3 games to nothing, the Rockets have won both games without and return to Houston Friday night down 3 game to 2.

That’s lead to several bloggers including Dan Favale of the Bleacher Report to openly wonder whether the Rockets are better without Lin.

Never mind that the thunder have been without their point guard, Russell Westbrook. Everyone is pointing out that during the regular season the Rockets scored 1,9 points per 100 possessions more when Lin was on the bench than when he was on the court.

They also say his back up Patrick Beverley plays better off the ball than Lin does and since James Harden needs the ball all the times, Beverley may be the better fit of the two.

The Bleacher Report breaks it down. Read it and then let AsAmNews know what you think in the comment section below.
