Huffington Post:@MargaretCho Calls on Gay Celebrities to Come Out of Closet

Margaret Cho
Davis McDavis

Fresh off a controversy over her routine poking fun of John Travolta’s sexuality, Margaret Cho is calling on all Gay celebrities to leave the closet.

In her blog for the Huffington Post, Cho doesn’t bother to explain her routine calling Travolta out as a bisexual. She simply plays the video which you can see in the Huffington Post.

Cho talks about being a product of the 80’s and the Harvey Milk movement. She’s seen the gay population dwindle falling victims to AIDS. And she says the gay movement could have use the voice and support of celebrities in the closet.

Cho writes: “If public figures came out of the closet, then the LGBT kids who saw them on TV would feel safe, before they even knew why they felt dangerous. Maybe if enough people came out of the closet, gay kids would never feel dangerous.”

See her bit about John Travolta, read her blog and then share your thoughts on this with AsamNews. We’d like to hear from you.
