Republicans in South Carolina are expressing outrage over a remark made by a Democrat that some perceive as a knock on her Indian American heritage, according to Mail Online
Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian said his party would challenge Gov Nikki Haley in the next election and send ‘Nikki Haley back to wherever the hell she came from.’
Haley was born in the United States, but her parents are from India.
‘Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend coming from the South Carolina Democratic Party,’ Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey said.
