For the first time since his arrest in November, North Korea is releasing details about the charges against Korean American Kenneth Bae, reports ABC News.

Bae was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor just a few weeks ago for the vague charge of crimes against the state.

Now it is saying that the Washington state resident smuggled in inflammatory literature and tried to set up a headquarters for his anti-government activities at a local hotel.

The statement also accused Bae of giving anti-North Korean lectures in China and of fomenting dissent among students.

“He committed such hostile acts as egging citizens of (North Korea) overseas and foreigners on to perpetrate hostile acts to bring down its government while conducting a malignant smear campaign against it. He was caught red handed.”

You can read a lot more about Bae on ABC News.
