Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings debut on PBS Friday night, according to the Channel Guide.
The movie is described as “a compelling portrait of an inspiring and inventive musician whose virtuoso skills on the ukulele have transformed all previous notions of the instrument’s potential.”
If you missed it, you can still enjoy a performance of Shimabukuro on You Tube. Jake redefined the ukulele from a traditional Hawaiian instrument to a upbeat, uptempo jazz instrument.
