SB Nation: @Jlin7 Making the Grade or Does He? #Lin

posted by Randall

LinsanityJeremy Lin no doubt gets his share of press. Criticism of him is sure the attract the wrath of his legions of loyal fans. But a similarly vocal crowd considers Lin overrated, and the product of a PR machine.

SB Nation decided to grade the point guards performance after his first full season ever as a starter in the NBA.

Lin average   13.4 points, 6.1 assists, 1.6 steals & 2.9 turnovers per game. He showed steady improvement throughout the season, cutting down on his turnovers, making better decisions on the court and improving his on court vision. Grade A-

But his lack of aggression and his inability at times to finish drives sometimes cost the Rockets.  Grade C-

When he returned from his injury in the playoffs, he seemed more tentative which only augmented his weaknesses. Grade D

Overall, Jeremy showed the ability to relate to his teammates, the willingness to be coached and the inner strength to make improvements. You can find out his overall grade in SB Nation
