Silicon India: The Indian Americans Who Made It Into the Billionaire Club

ForbesFive Indian Americans have made it into the Forbes list of billionaires, according to Silicon India.

They are Romesh Wadhwani, chairman and CEO of Symphony Technology Group. He reportedly is worth a net of $1.9 billion.

Ram Shriram runs Sherpalo Ventures and has $1.65 billion in assets. Shriram is one of Google’s first investors.

Manoj Bhargava is founder and  CEO of 5 Hour Energy, a popular but controversial energy drink. He has a 90 percent share of the market and is worth $1.5 billion.

Vinod Khosla is co-founder of Khosla Ventures and has $1.5 billion in assets. He is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems.

Bharat Desai is co-founder and chairman of Syntel. Before making it onto the billionaires list, he was rated by Forbes as one of its eight self made stars.
