Law enforcement officials confirmed today that a Muslim American shot by an FBI agent during an interrogation about one of the Boston bombing suspects was unarmed, reports Newsday.
The confirmation comes one day after the coroner’s office told WFTV that the death of Ibragim Todashev had been ruled a homicide.
Meanwhile the Council of American Islamic Relations called for an independent investigation into the FBI shooting which happened last Wednesday.
It had been originally reported that Todashev lunged at the FBI agent with a knife, but that now appears to be inaccurate.
