Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas has announced he will be in San Francisco June 15th for the Kalayaan Festival, the city’s big celebration of the 115th anniversary of the Philippine Independence.
The free event will take place in Union Square from 12:30 until 7:30 pm and will feature an evening concert with Apl and a showcase of Filipino performing artists.
Earlier this month, such Filipino stars as Jessica Sanchez, The Lylas, and Lou Diamond Phillips joined him for a benefit for the Apl.de.ap Foundation. He says he is half way through his solo project and working as a judge on the Voice, Philippines.
