high school lockersThe suicide of a 12-year old Filipino American girl is renewing concerns about cyberbullying, reports MB.Com.

Gabrielle Molina left a note saying she was being bullied by classmates at Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School in New York.

MB.Com talked to experts on how to protect children from cyberbullying.

Chino S. Rodriguez, who teaches Information Security at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business says its important for kids to know the websites their children are visiting. Be sure to check the browser’s history and then block any suspicious or worrisome sites.

Remember that children can access the internet away from home.

Rodriguez provides a list of programs that help protect your children while on the internet, along with the top three things parents need to be concerned about on the internet.
