Lightning struck and killed a Filipino American teen in Chicago just days before her high school graduation, reports GMA
17-year old Jennie Dizon was set to study theater production at the University of Cincinnati.
Reports said she was just sitting on a park bench writing in her notebook when the accident happened.
The odds of being hit by lightning are one in 700,000, but only one in 3000 over a lifetime, according to National Geographic statistics quoted by GMA.
Dizon attended the Benet Academy.
