Ann Curry sat in for Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News last night.
It was the third time since Memorial Day weekend she has anchored the high profiled network newscast.
KL Martinez of Examiner.com wonders if this is a sign NBC is trying to make up with Curry and exiting the rocky road that has characterized the relationship since Ann’s unceremonious ejection from the Today Show set.
Personally, I doubt it. Remember it was Brian Williams who encouraged NBC brass to let Ann sit in for her. This may be more about pleasing Brian than pleasing Ann.
Also NBC has refused to let Ann out of her contract with the network to pursue other interest, despite the fact that NBC is no longer interested in Ann as one of its main players on the news team.
Of course the final answer will come in 2014 when Ann’s contract is up. My money is on Ann ending up elsewhere on TV.
