A new survey released today by the Asia Society at the Diversity Leadership Forum in New York found 9 out of 10 Asian American employees say they care about their company’s success, but four out of 10 also say they feel they don’t fit in at the company.
The same survey found that cultural acceptance is the number 1 driver of that sense of belonging. Perhaps surprisingly, that ranked higher than career opportunities and development.
In fact 61 percent of those Asian Americans surveyed say they are satisfied with their chances for advancement.
More than a thousand Asian American Pacific Islanders were surveyed for this study. You can read more in the Asia Society.
